Freeride meets freestyle in this one of a kind competition that sees freeskiers pick their own line down a face somewhere within the boundaries of the Les Arcs ski area.

Some of the worlds best skiers will be competing so if you are in resort this week, make sure to head to the designated competition area to watch because it will probably be the gnarliest thing you’ve ever seen!      

But when you're competing against the cream of your sport, on terrain filled with rocks, drops and Julien Regnier-Lafforgue-designed kickers, you know it's going to take something special to win.

Riders only get a chance to assess the course and their potential lines on the first hike up to the start, so it's as much a mental challenge as it is physical.
