Worth knowing

Breakfast and brunch
In resort you'll find coffee and croissants if you like an early start, or somewhere to simply grab a coffee on the go. But if you're after a full English or a bacon sarnie, there's a spot for that too if you don't mind waiting until late morning for more of a brunch.
Cafes and bakeries
As in any French town you're never far from a bakery to pick up a fresh morning baguette. Tignes has a number of cafés and snack bars serving sandwiches and small bites, where you can grab something to go or have a coffee and catch up with friends.
Child friendly restaurants
Most, if not all of the restaurants in resort are child friendly, especially if you let them know in advance. Evening meals are normally served from 19:00, and the restaurants are quieter at this time than later on.
French restaurants
Throughout the resort you'll easily find a French restaurant to suit both your taste buds and your budget, whether it's homemade Savoyarde specials in a cosy rustic bolthole, or a light airy modern gourmet experience with a wine list and dessert menu to die for.
Italian and pizza restaurants
Like most places, you don't have to look too far to find a decent pizza. Plus, many of the local French restaurants also do good pizza and pasta, and there are some good pizza takeaways.
Michelin starred restaurants
Tignes has two Michelin starred restaurants, plus a number that are recommended in the Guide Michelin for the quality of their cuisine, worth calling well in advance to secure your table to avoid disappointment.
Pubs and gastropubs
There are numerous bar-restaurants in town with large wooden tables and comfy alcoves that are ideal for families or group outings.
Vegetarian restaurants
Although French cuisine isn't renowned for being particularly veggie-friendly there are a number of restaurants in town that serve vegetarian options.
