Oxygene offers some of the best ski-guiding in Tignes.

Make the most of each powder day. If you want to explore the true terrain of the mountain, learn how to ski across powder and ride the line of the season, Oxygene are there to help.

They offer sessions for those that are just starting to explore off-piste through to those that already have plenty of experience and want to find the best powder spots in the valley. All their mountain guides are fully qualified and have plenty of experience in the local terrain.

They all speak English (other languages are also available) so you can relax and communicate with ease. Oxygene takes safety seriously. That’s why when you book one of their lessons they provide transceivers, shovels, probes and ABS bags completely free of charge. At Oxygene, they know how to handle the mountain with care.

What you can do

Off-piste guiding - half day

Discover fresh, untouched off-piste snow with Oxygene this winter by taking a four-hour off-piste guide session to explore the hidden secrets of Tignes. With safety equipment (that’s your probes, shovel, backpack and transceiver) included as standard, you’ll explore how to play safe on untouched terrain. These sessions are ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders with group sizes from just two to six people. If you’re hunting for the line of season, look no further.

Adult ‘Steep and Deep’ off-piste

Enjoy the true beauty of Espace Killy with this course that's ideal for level 4+ skiers and snowboarders. Morning sessions run Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 13:00 and include off-piste safety equipment as standard. Perfect for those looking for safe exploration with those in the know. You’ll make tracks with groups up to six.

Worth knowing

The ski school is open for lessons in winter and spring, but the bookings team are available year-round to assist with bookings or queries.

Equipment hire

You can also book all your ski and snowboard equipment through Oxygene's shop. Book your equipment in advance and when you arrive in resort it will be delivered to your holiday residence.

Where to meet

Oxygène meeting point is right on the snow front at Tignes le Lac behind the ‘Maison de Tignes’ Tourist Office. Look out for their blue and orange uniforms and colourful flags.

What to bring

  • Oxygène will provide all safety equipment
  • they recommend helmets for everyone going off-piste
  • make sure you're wearing thermals and plenty of sun cream
  • don't forget your gloves or your goggles
