Best coffee in Tignes
A list of the best cafés in resort
Take a break and recharge with a coffee and a quick bite.
The coffee break is an integral part of any ski or snowboard holiday giving you a chance to recharge tired legs, soak up the scenery, relax with friends and, of course, reflect on glories from previous runs. It's also a great place to sit and watch the world go by on a non-mountain day.
Aspen Coffee Shop - Tignes Val Claret
Located at the bottom of the Grande Motte near to the Bollin / Fresse chiarlift, Aspen Coffee Shop is a great spot for a quick break or have a light bite. A simple menu offers sandwiches and salads, making it popular at lunchtimes as it's only a short walk from the piste. Reasonably priced, it's also a hit with the locals.
Café Flo - Tignes le Lac
Close to the Vallée Blanche lift, this coffee shop also does a very good breakfast. Come in and relax in the very chilled atmosphere, enjoy an early morning coffee or an après-ski drink. Their menu also includes salads, soup, sandwiches along with smoothies and milkshakes.
La Cantine Café and Restaurant - Le Lavachet
Great little place that does a lovely breakfast, a selection of grilled cheese sandwiches, soups, cakes and of course... coffee. They also serve Yorkshire Tea for those of you not exactly enamoured with the yellow label stuff you can buy in the local supermarkets. If you're after something with a little more kick they have craft beers and even prosecco by the bottle. Head on in and pull up a chair.
Drop Zone Café Bar - Val Claret
This is a large bar that hosts DJs and live music alongside live sporting events, and is more of an aprés place than a coffee shop to sit and while away the day. In the heart of Val Claret it has a large terrace, serves snacks and Thai food alongside soft and alcoholic drinks. It turns into a nightclub after 22:00.
