Tignes Le Lavachet
Quieter hamlet set beside the lake and located just outside Tignes Le Lac
Tignes Le Lavachet is a hamlet located just outside of Tignes Le Lac. Also next to the beautiful Tignes lake this hamlet is slightly quieter than Le Lac and with an array of apartment blocks, hotels and a few small chalets there is still plenty of accommodation to be found.
When evening comes you can choose from a select few restaurants and bars in town where you can enjoy the local après ski or have a traditional Savoyard meal. The bus service runs throughout the night so if you fancy going somewhere different for the evening you can easily head to the other areas of the Tignes resort.
Le Lavachet is a great location to stay either in the winter or the summer, with its excellent location and quieter feel you can enjoy everything the mountains have to offer.
Things to do in Le Lavachet
In the winter Le Lavachet is a buzzing little hamlet with excellent access to the slopes, by either jumping on the bus service to Le Lac or Val Claret or hopping on the lifts located in town. You can be up the mountain and enjoying the Espace Killy ski area in no time. As the mountains turn from a snow-covered haven to a beautiful lush green and the sun begins to shine, there is plenty to enjoy.
The summer in Tignes is much quieter and Le Lavachet is no exception. The quiet hamlet becomes a lovely place to enjoy the sun-drenched peaceful mountains with lots of excellent summer activities.
Mountain biking is a popular activity in Tignes and it is known for its excellent trails and routes. If mountain biking is not for you then you can easily take one of the lifts up from Le Lavachet and enjoy the walking and hiking routes that provide spectacular mountain views. You can even do a spot of summer skiing on the Grande Motte glacier.
Dining in Le Lavachet
With a small selection of restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as a few supermarkets you can enjoy this hamlet on its own or hop on a free bus and be in the centre of either Tignes Le Lac or Tignes Val Claret in a few minutes.
Nightlife in Le Lavachet
You'll find the majority of bars and clubs here are run by Brits and the French. You can guarantee you'll find something to suit all tastes, from those that want to party until daylight or those looking for a quieter place to grab a drink.

Aparthotels and residences are the most popular type of accommodation in the Le Lavachet village with large apartment blocks there are plenty of different options to choose from. Some of these residences have ski-in, ski-out availability making it quick and easy to be out on the slopes in moments.
